European Enterprise Network
The European Enterprise Network (EEN Network) is an initiative launched by the European Commission in 2008. Its main goal is to support and advise companies in their internationalisation expansion and in managing innovation, by means of ties and partnerships with different regional support hubs for companies around the world.
Since 2022, Basque Trade & Investment has been part of the Basque Country hub to support the search for international partners to market products/services or complete their development (technological transfer)
International Tendering Platform
The Basque Government and Basque Trade & Investment have set up the International Tendering Platform to boost the participation of Basque companies in public tenders financed by international entities, which then bolsters the internationalisation of the Basque business fabric.
In a highly competitive and globalised economy, Basque companies have been shown to have a great capacity for innovation and their levels of quality makes them a European frontrunner in many sectors. So, why not also compete in multilateral tendering processes around the world?
Trade Promotion Europe
Trade Promotion Europe is the European association representing the national and regional trade promotion organisations. The association seeks to be a single voice to European institutions and strengthen European trade by means of better coordination and sharing of information.
Since 2019, Basque Trade & Investment has been part of Trade Promotion Europe to ensure that the interests of Basque companies are heard in Europe. Thanks to its involvement in this association, BasqueTrade has taken part in European projects such as ProSME.
Interreg Europe – WOMEX
WOMEX is a European interregional cooperation project aimed at transforming the business culture of exporting SMEs by integrating gender equality as a key pillar of their competitiveness. Through the exchange of good practices and the development of dedicated support tools, it promotes public policies and business strategies that foster equal opportunities in international trade.
Basque Trade & Investment is participating in WOMEX alongside organisations from Catalonia and other European regions, representing countries such as Austria, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and Serbia. With a total budget of €1.7 million and a duration of four years, the project reinforces the Basque Country’s commitment to a more equal, competitive economy that is prepared for the future of international trade.
