Internationalisation support programmes
Basque Trade & Investment is the entity that manages all the support programmes that the Basque Government makes available to its companies. With a wide range of financial support programmes that range from supporting those companies embarking on their international journey to those at the expansion stage and setting up a production foothold or acquiring third companies abroad.
Furthermore, Basque Trade & Investment and the Basque Government are on constant alert to meet the needs of the companies by means of specific initiatives or programmes that respond to the international economic situation.

Zabaldu+
A non-repayable grant of up to €75,000 per company for SMEs and start-ups wishing to enter new markets, strengthen their international presence or advance their internationalisation process. It brings together previous schemes such as Zabaldu, Sakondu, Elkartu and Pilotu under a single call for applications.
GAUZATU internacional
Programme aimed at facilitating the participation of Basque companies in international public investment pilot schemes to enhance their reputation so they can thus gain a foothold on those markets
SAKONDU 2025
A programme aimed at SMEs (regardless of size) and start-ups incorporated after 1 January 2024 that are in the early stages of internationalisation, and whose turnover from exports is less than 50 per cent.
PILOTU 2025
Programme aimed at facilitating the participation of Basque companies in international public investment pilot schemes to enhance their reputation so they can thus gain a foothold on those markets
ELKARTU 2025
Elkartu supports business associations, business cooperation groups, export consortia, sales groups and any other figure committed to act jointly on external markets.
