Elkartu’s support
The ELKARTU programme, with a budgetary allocation of €500,000, is aimed at promoting business cooperation to improve the international presence of Basque companies. Elkartu is also for business associations and business cooperation groups known as export consortia, sales groups or any other status that is committed to acting jointly on foreign markets. This programme seeks to support actions related both to the incorporation of the business cooperation group, the operational costs, along with those related to promotion.
ELKARTU funding takes the form of non-repayable public subsidies and are aimed at supporting business cooperation in projects to do with internationalisation and forging partnerships, along with promoting sustainable development throughout the internationalisation process.
Thus, the Elkartu funding programme subsidies a series of costs related to the incorporation and the development of the joint business activity, to provide it with the necessary resources to face the cooperation internationalisation process in the most secure and successful way possible.
What we offer
Grants of up to 80% of costs to a limit of €60,000 for consortia, €50,000 for associations and €45,000 for sales groups (with €15,000 limit per company) to:
- Set up a business cooperation group
- Develop an International Strategy or Plan of Action for the group
- Contract consultants for market research
- Costs associated to industrial property and type approvals
- Overheads such as office leases, supplies, logistic costs or any other shared cost and related to the group’s activity
- Costs of recruiting a commercial agent or representative
- Outward trade missions and inward trade missions
- Expenses associated with Trade Fairs and Conferences
- Spending on promotion and dissemination
- Studies related to internationalisation and contingency plans, redesigning and global supply chain alternatives, and defining strategies for international e-commerce
- Costs associated with managing and preparing bids for international tendering processes to be implemented in cooperation

- The applications will be resolved in order as per the time when the application documentation is complete and until the budgeted amount is exhausted
