Zabaldu+ 2026’s support

Zabaldu+ 2026 is a grant aimed at boosting the international presence of Basque companies, supporting their access to new markets and strengthening their positioning abroad.

Zabaldu+ is not simply a continuation of the Zabaldu programme, but a broader grant scheme that integrates the objectives and actions of previous programmes such as Zabaldu, Sakondu, Elkartu and Pilotu. In this way, the new programme brings together different types of support in a single call to facilitate international expansion, cooperation between companies and the development of projects with potential in foreign markets.

What we offer

Non-repayable grant up to 70% of costs up to the limit of €75,000/company to:

  • Internationalisation strategies and consultancy
  • Approvals, certifications and industrial property
  • International promotion, communication and marketing
  • Participation in trade fairs, congresses and prospecting trips
  • Foreign establishments and staff in the destination market
  • Business cooperation projects
  • International pilot projects
  • Internal dedication to the internationalisation project

The Zabaldu+ programme allows actions carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2026 to be included.

Requirements

  • SMEs and startups with their own legal personality and a production facility in the Basque Autonomous Community.
  • Associations, export consortia and business cooperation groups that wish to carry out joint actions in international markets.
  • The application must include at least two actions from two different categories.
  • The agricultural, food, fisheries, forestry, real estate, tourism, financial and insurance sectors are excluded.
  • In the case of service companies, they must have a sufficiently qualified team in the Basque Country to carry out the projects or provide the services they wish to internationalise.

Procedure

  • Applications will be assessed through a competitive procedure, in accordance with the criteria established in the terms and conditions.
  • The quality of the internationalisation project will be a key factor in the assessment, so it is important to submit a solid, coherent and well-justified proposal.
